on one of those pro-jw message boards there was a small discussion about the magazine downsizing.here is one comment that stood out.. .
though the special letter read, mentioned printing, paper and the cost of presses has led to a reduction in the number of pages in the public issues of the magazines, it makes me wonder- hummmm.
the message to the public will now be shorter - and more than likely more direct.
They will see it as that jw does, as a sign of "hurry up and join us or die"
I know when i was in we felt that the urgency at the very end would mean a short sharp message and high speed coverage of the territory.
No doubt they still do and the downsizing had obviously been interpreted by that one as an indicator.

I see no need to be all ''apologetic and respectful'' in naming these people. In past incarnations of this image and naming nobody called them idiots or anything as far as i recall. Just the facts...they are dead, they were misled, they are proof of a conjob.
The Watchtower corporation saw fit to print their faces all over the cover.
They allowed themselves to be part of a global propaganda campaign. They may have been misled etc but...you put yourself out there you take what comes back even if it aint pretty and even if you are dead, your legacy is your legacy.

I believe that Hank Marvin (shadows fame) was...an interview i found on the net, sorry i cant find the link but i am sure other would have it.
serial number is BM-1". It was a beautiful guitar. On the way back to the station, I asked Hank a question which had been troubling me. "Mr Marvin, you are a Jehovah's Witness?" Hank replied "Yes, that's right". I said "I hope you don't mind me asking you a question". Hank replied "No, we're always pleased when people are interested in the religion". I said "Ok, do they let you off knocking on doors on a Sunday because you are so famous". Hank suddenly started to look a little embarrassed.He replied "Well I used to do that, it is part of the commitment you make as a member, everyone has to". He then went on "The trouble was that whenever I knocked on anyone's door, they thought it was Candid Camera playing a practical joke on them and no one would take it seriously. I'd stand there for half an hour trying to explain that there wasn't a camera crew over the road." He went on and explained that it was deemed best all round if he did other work for the church instead.
Hank then dropped us at Radlett Station and we got back to Mill Hill, went to the pub and got plastered. Paul Marvin plays a bit of guitar on the albums in the picture.

my mil's circuit assembly was this past weekend.
she came over for dinner to our home after the assembly.
in conversation, it came up that a known pedophile was seen walking to the bathroom holding a young boy's hand-no relation to the boy at all, although that wouldn't make a difference!

WTF? The MIL's attitude is sick, sorry. And so are all the others, guilty as accomplices.
